Yorkshire Permaculture Gathering

Saturday 14th July - Sunday 15th July 2018

Yorkshire Permaculture Gathering

Join us at Edibles for a two day gathering of Yorkshire based permaculturalists. Two days to share ideas, showcase our projects and grow the connections between us and between other sustainability focussed sectors. Saturday evening, we will of course have a Ceilidh.

The event will have 4 main strands that we hope everyone can contribute to:

  • what's going on in Yorkshire permaculture
  • introducing permaculture ideas and skills to newcomers
  • connecting and collaborating - from sharing information to potential large collaborative projects
  • working with others - exploring our fertile edge, finding common ground and connecting with other organisations143

Workshops so far include:

  • Inspiring local permaculture project presentations. Learn from their experiences
  • Diploma Inspiration! Diploma tutors -  will present design case studies, host Q&A sessions and offer tutorials
  • Learn to scythe and peen with Edibles' Rosie Lonnon
  • Permaculture and Social Activism in India, Andy Goldring
  • Help to plan the future of Permaculture in Yorkshire. Steve Smith from Edibles will facilitate a discussion on how we can collaborate more effectively on a regional basis
  • Systems Thinking and Permaculture, Jon Walker, one of Suma's founder members.
  • Biochar making workshop, demonstration and information
  • Food fermentation workshop
  • Permaculture Design Tool Kit with Cathy Fowler
