Zelkova Quartet

Sunday 19th August  4pm

Edibles are delighted to host another summer afternoon of musical magic. Zelkova String Quartet, an award winning, Manchester based group, will play Dvorak's String Quartet in G, Op 106. Expect sublime playing, dazzling virtuosity and 'one of the loveliest and most profound slow movements in Dvorak's creation'.

After scones and tea, Zelkova are joined by friends Sarah Masters, clarinet; Mark Bennett, horn; Simon Davies, bassoon; Oliver Simpson, double bass to play Beethoven's Septet in E flat, Op 20. This septet is one of the last works Beethoven wrote before he became aware of his encroaching deafness, and is filled with youthful energy and fabulous solos for the instrumentalists.

Tickets: £15 which includes home made cream tea during the interval. Book online below, or email Rosie for other payment options. Children £7.50 - pay cash on the door but let Rosie know for numbers.
